Richard Ffrench is a Jamaican artist who lives in Los Angeles. His work investigates the politics of identity, intimacy and the social dynamics of young adulthood through a voyeuristic yet caring lens. He draws from his background in filmmaking to refine his approach to photography, foregrounding his appreciation for formal beauty while exploring the honesty and vulnerability in his work’s thematic elements. Richard holds a BA in Art and Film from Lafayette College and an MFA in Art from the University of Southern California.
